Tonight I went to visit the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) island in Second Life. They have created a competition for teams to build the best simulations using the virtual world’s tools which educate and stick to NOAA-related environmental issues and ethics.

It is an interesting experiment in public consultation, as well as collaborative working, and education in action.

There are some great projects there. My favourite it the Tsunami and hurricane so far. More to see… better go.*
